It feels like every time I blink another day has passed by, and with only 17 days to go before we reach 100 days I’m keen to cram in as much dev time as possible
I’ve been working further on the A Deck structure, adding some final refinements and detail to the design. I’m much happier with the insulation material now, and I’ve added all the attachment points for the wall and ceiling panels;
For the most part, all of this will be hidden from view during normal gameplay, but as the walls get damaged the detail behind will be revealed, also when you open access panels to get to the ship’s infrastructure.
Speaking of wall panels, the new framework design standards now make it easier than ever for me to build interchangeable pieces. This could even be extended to more visually diverse ship customisation in the future because it’s literally just a case of popping a new panel on the existing mounting points.
And that leads us neatly to the new Bridge access corridor, which is going to be an architectural showpiece on the ship. I want it to have a real visual impact, so I’m going to build some really ornate lighting and highly detailed feature walls.
It doesn’t look like much right now, but when it’s finished I’m hoping it will match the vision I’ve got in mind. It’s going to include some really complicated shapes, so it’s going to be a fun challenge
